This corporation was formed by James M. Jensen, DVM, DACZM to address the growing medical and management needs of the game ranching and deer farming industry. His career in veterinary medicine spans over 30 years and includes positions as staff veterinarian at the Oklahoma City Zoo, consulting veterinarians at the Knoxville Zoo and assistant director at the Baltimore Zoo. Dr. Jensen attained board certification in zoological medicine (ACZM) in 1985. In addition, he taught zoological medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine from 1981 to 1986 and at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University from 1987-2006. Dr. Jensen has contributed numerous refereed articles, abstracts, book chapters and professional presentations in this specialty.
During his involvement at Texas A&M he became deeply involved with the game ranching industry. Dr. Jensen incorporated this into his clinical service, research, and teaching curriculum at the veterinary college. In addition he became personally involved in raising a variety of game species and became active in the Exotic Wildlife Association. Dr. Jensen currently lives with his wife, Cindy, in San Antonio, Texas where they base his game ranch consultation business.
